Your time
How much time do I need to allocate to volunteering?
Many engineers have enquired as to how much time is expected of them whilst volunteering? The answer is you are able to volunteer as much as you like. Questions from students generally come up weekly in the forum, but if you don't have time to answer them, another volunteer will assist with the query. Don't feel bad as a network of engineers will be connected to the forum.
Online project submissions are frequent towards the end of the program. We ask you to provide around half, to one page of feedback on projects based on the report and photos submitted. Upon speaking to volunteers from last year, they have informed us that the feedback usually takes around 20 minutes to half an hour on average. The feedback should be very general.

Online submissions can begin arriving at any time and if you are ever too busy or unable to provide feedback, simply let us know and we will arrange for another volunteer to assess the work.
We usually get a great response of interested volunteers, so please only do what you can manage.
